Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun was born on the 16 July 1990. He is a Nigerian singer and songwriter signed to his own record label called Star Boy Records. He began recording music at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed. Wizkid signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) in 2009. He rose to prominence after releasing "Holla at Your Boy", the lead single from his debut studio album Superstar (2011). In 2016, Wizkid achieved international recognition following his collaboration with Drake on the global hit, "One Dance", which reached number one in 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. He signed a multi-album deal with RCA Records in March 2017.

Wizkid has signed multi-million dollars endorsement deals with companies like Pepsi, Nike,MTN, GLO, Ciroc, UBA Bank and Guinness. He has won alot of awards such as BET, MTV, EMTV, AFRIMA, AFRIMMA etc. He is the youngest African Artist to get a Grammy Nomination. Wizkid is the only Nigerian musician who not only made the number one spot on the iTunes World Chart but maintained that top spot for more than one week courtesy of “one dance”. Wizkid is the first African to sell out London’s most iconic venue, Royal Albert Hall as Headliner and he did this in 72 hours. The First African performer to capture 7 billboard Nominations. The 1st Nigerian artiste to win an ASCAP Award etc. Wizkid has 3 albums as of 2020. Wizkid has worked with artists such as Beyounce, Niki Minaj, Drake, Cris Brown, Akon etc.
